Well it has taken me a long time to get out of Cornerbrook, or so my friends keep reminding me LOL
So since I have 6 sea days in front of me on this Hawaii cruise, it is time to catch up... I go back to look at our pictures to remind me of our time there, and now I realize why I have procrastinated for so long.
For this visit to Quebec, our tour took us over the St Lawrence River to the town of Levis. No matter how much googling I do, I can not find any really interesting information to plagiarise for this post... So instead I will have to rely on my memory.
Always a beautiful sail into Quebec, especially with the iconic Chateau Frontenac overpowering the skyline.
Unfortunately, we didn't have the same dock as last time, this time a little further away from town which involved a longer but doable walk back into the city. But don't fear there is a shuttle option...
The back streets of Quebec have a lovely French feel about them and the quirkiness of the old town makes it a pleasure to walk around the cobbled streets.
/We met up with the others, then did the short ferry ride over to Levis. We still had an hour or so to kill before our walking tour through Levis so we found a cute pub to have a spot of lunch...

I tried poutine for the first time, and although I have nothing to compare, it was just delicious and I still dream about having another bowl.
Levis the town is found up the hill from where the ferry drops you off... our guide was meeting us at the Terrasse du Chevalier-de-Lévis, a park with spectacular views back across to Quebec. There our guide gave a us brief history lesson before started our walk through the streets of old Levis...

On our return to Quebec town we walk up to the boardwalk for the views back toward the other side. We retraced our steps back to the ship, stopping at the artisian markets and of course a cocktail as we reflected on our day.... but alas the heavens looked ominous and as we had no umbrellas we decided to hightail it back to the ship.
As our ship sailed out we were treated to a fantastic fireworks display, which was a lovely way to cap off the day.
